Tampa Bay Downs - On Being There

The advantages of being at track can't be overemphasized. The place has a collective voice that exchanges information with you continuously. Now, I'm in West Palm Beach but my dad, Joe is there, in Tampa. He's my agent and my partner. He is my eyes and my ears at the track. He tells me which way the wind is blowing (figuratively, as well as literally) and he's an invaluable asset. He frees me up to keep my mind on handicapping. Of course, I get over there every chance I can, but I love the ocean and he prefers the Gulf of Mexico. The track isn't my life, its my job. Keeping everything in balance is critical to being successful. So do your best to get to the track whenever you can and if you can't get there today, relax, there's always tomorrow!
