On Saturday, my prime wager in the 3rd, Fleet Ace, showed early speed once again and was through after a half. My other prime in the 10th, Top Seed, just lasted and won the Inaugural Stakes, paying $3.80. My soft wager in the 1st, Diamond Black Jack was ridden out, paying $5.40 for the win. Among my contenders only selections, my $6 exacta key wager in the 6th clicked for $38.00 and one of my wagers was scratched. So it goes...

Tuesday's selections:

1st – A soft wager, Call On Joshua (2), Winless Fontana is 47% ITM with the 2L1-3+RtS+Dropdown+Fastback angle. Is bound to pop. Was satisfactory at the route in last, 13 days ago. If Fontana’s horse goes to the post at <5-2 he wins 44% of the time, <5-1 27%. Let the board dictate the size of your wager. Exacta Key 2/6,12 and Trifectas 2/8/6,12 and DD’s 2/3,6,10.

2nd - Contenders Only – Exacta Key Box 3/6,10

3rd - Contenders Only – Exacta Key 3/1,8,9

4th - Contenders Only – Exacta Key Box 8/2,3

5th - A prime wager, Glen Wilding (2). Delacour’s handling of this filly leaves me with a positive impression. Glen Wilding has the best turf record in the bunch and has not been entered for a tag (yet). Only sub-12 final furlong finisher in the race. Delacour wins right back 27% of the time. Leading turf rider Daniel Centeno rides. O’Connell is always tough on the grass, and Pat’s Image (10) will be right there late! Win, Straight Exacta 2/10 and Trifectas 2/10/1,6

6th – Contenders Only – Exacta Box 1,5,8

7th – Contenders Only – Lord Eldron (1) was beaten by a NW4 LT and two open claimers in last at MNR, while putting up an above par 78 (today’s par is 68) in that race. LA Gonzalez rides for Julie Luhr. Dynaquake (4) has been working very well earlier in the month. Last race was a par effort. (His starter races this past summer were restricted to horses that had broken their maiden for $40,000 or less.)RoHo is up. Gerry Bennett wins 25% with L1-3+S. Catedon Cat (5) is always there, drops a notch and shortens up today for John Simms. Monstrous gate work one week ago. Vocalize (2) has had eight months to mature, raced well in the spring at TAM, bullet work on 12/17. I’ll play an Exacta Key Box 1/4,5 and Trifectas 1,2/1,2/4,5.

9th – Contenders Only – Exacta Key Box 2/5,7 and Trifectas 1,8,10/2/5,7 and DD 2/6
