On Thursday, my soft wager, Juicy Loots, finished 3rd with no help from jockey Federico Mata, who spent most of the race worrying about who was behind him as he let Serene Spirit run away with it. Among my contenders only selections, my 8th race $4 exacta box returned $21.80. So it goes...

2nd – Contenders Only – Exacta Box 2,7 and Trifectas 7/2,5,10/2,5,6,10

3rd – FAST TRACK ONLY - A soft wager, Lyka Card Shark (2) is rounding into form and weakened in the stretch in last, takes a big drop from a par 82 to a par 75.The Dynamic Duo of Ness/Allen look very tough here. Lyka Card Shark can and will change running styles to get the job done. Third Dimension is one dimensional and I expect RoHo to be battling with Western Night on the front end throughout. Western Night (6) is all business and is 7-11 ITM at Tam with four wins at the Downs. Win (2), Saver Exacta Box 6/2 and Trifectas 2/All/6

3rd – OFF TRACK ONLY – A soft wager, Western Night (6). Romps in the rain. Won 4 of 9 (with 6 of 9 ITM) on off tracks including two at Tampa. Was my second choice on a fast track. Gets the edge if it’s wet. Win (6) and Saver Reverse Exacta Wheel All/6

4th – Contenders Only – Exacta Box 8,10 and Trifectas 1,2,3,4,12/8,10/8,10

5th – Contenders Only - Win (1), Saver Exacta 6/1 and Trifecta All/1/6 (Off the Turf)

6th – Contenders Only – Exacta Box 1,4,7

7th – Contenders Only – Exacta Key Box 5/4,10 and Trifectas 5,10/4,5,6,10/4,5,6,10

8th – Contenders Only – Exacta Box 1,2 and Saver Exactas 6/1,2
