On Friday, I had no prime or soft selections. Among my contenders only selections, my 6th race $8 exacta box returned $19.20, my 7th race $34 trifecta wager returned $78.00 and my 10th race $8 exacta key box returned $30.80. I had 4 of 6 in my pick six wager. So it goes...

Saturday's selections:

1st - Contenders Only - Premier Take (9) is a late bloomer who was 10-22 ITM in 2008. Comes right back for Julie Luhr who engages Daniel Centeno to bring home another one. Several speedy types ensure an opportunity for another solid off-the-pace performance. Exacta Key Box 9/3,8 and Trifectas 9/4,6,12/3,8

2nd - Contenders Only - Jean the Queen (9). Really no excuse for failing as the favorite last time out. Previous two were very close to par. Centeno sticks. Trifectas 1,10/9/2,3,8.

3rd - Contenders Only - Conchacer (9) and for track announcer Richard Grunder I also provide the phonetic Kon Chaysir. Nobody botches horses names (or race calls for that matter) like Rich Grunder. You'll see he'll do it today. Anyway, Conchacer finished three lengths above par in debut. Has a bright future. Sundarban (2). Everything looks right, but why a $20K purse at Tampa for this one's debut. Leaves me with more questions then answers. Win (9) and Trifecta savers 2,9/2,9/All.

4th - Contenders Only - Old timer Otis Ridge (7) has still got it. Was 11-13 ITM in 08-09 for his biggest earning year ever. Put up an above par 88 in last (today's par is 82). Ziadie employs veteran Tampa jockey and #3 leading rider at Gulfstream Jose Lezcano this time to bring him home. Stumbling Block (8) is versatile and very consistent and it looks like Ness has found a good spot. Centeno tries to make it two in a row. Onotheregoestokyo (10) plays well with others, had only one back-to-back win in career, but put many of these away in last. Exacta Key Box 7/8,10 and Trifectas 7,8/1,9,10/7,8,10

5th - Contenders Only - A wide open race. Exacta Box 1,5 and Trifectas 1,5/2,3,9/2,3,4,9
