On Tuesday, Renee's Regent disappointed as the favorite in the 5th. Ditto for Ohio's Way in the 7th. Irish Son came through in the 8th winning in a photo and paying $4.80. So it goes...
This afternoon in the third, Can't Smoke Me (PP3) finds her grove at 6.5F. The 6yo changed running styles trying to find the winner's circle in her last and should be able to hold it together today, at least long enough to hit the wire first. Deborah Artz and Tammi Piermarini team up for the win.
In the fourth, Stack Blues (PP5) figures. He's had two good efforts and usually races above par. Pistol's Wildcard (PP2) will be trying with Centeno aboard for Fontana. (They've teamed up with some bombs already this season). Deputy Connor (PP7) and Gamble On Red (PP4) will also be looking to score for a price for Glenn Wismer and John Bourke respectively.
In the fifth, Holy Helen (PP3) wins for Jane Cibelli. Helen has demonstrated that she can win at the route (and above par at that) and looks to improve further on the turf today for Cibelli who is great with the layoff/shipper. Velez rides. Be My Gal (PP9) completes the exacta.
