Yesterday, Can't Smoke Me raced forwardly throughout and had no excuse. Stack Blues was well placed but had no rally as the second choice in the wagering. Holy Helen won by 5 lengths paying $4.00 and you can't stay in the black with prices like that. So it goes....
On Friday, Deal Me Aces (PP8) looks for another win in the 5th, while moving up in class in the smallest step possible for his situation. ITM 5 of 6 starts and coming off a win, you'd think his connections would be looking to protect their asset by moving him to non-winners C16 or C20. But no....he remains in C10. I think they want another check, even if it means loosing him. Westcoastesastcoast (PP4) gets another chance today with Centeno aboard for Fontana.
In the 7th, Back to Back Jacks (PP1) finally graduates from the N2L condition (he's got 11 seconds lifetime). His last was better than it appears and the right trip ensures a victory today. Optimistic (PP6) looks to be the best of the rest off the claim for Jane Cibelli. She's had four weeks to work with him and figures to improve. Centeno gets the ride again.
