Tampa Bay Downs Selections - 02/12/08

Results 27-105 (26%) -$28.40 (27-12-15) (51% ITM)

On Sunday, Watson I Need You was beaten by Sonic Cat, but if you boxed my exacta, you collected $21.80. Ruby's Red Socks was checked up early and finished fourth. Buddha Pass was the beaten favorite in the 6th, finishing second behind longshot Liquer ($24.60) and Girl Power was the beaten favorite in the 11th, finishing seventh after being squeezed at the break. So it goes...

This afternoon, the strategy has to be the exotics. If you can do better than identify the contenders, you should get a handicapping award. Therefore, with the exception of the 9th, I'll post a bunch of contenders along with a fare thee well to all you punters. Joe (my Dad) will have a field day today, but a card like this can deplete your bankroll F-A-S-T!

1st - 1,3,5 & 6
2nd - 4,8
3rd - 1,9,11
4th - 2,3 & 9
5th - 5,8,9 & 10
6th - 4,9
7th - 2,5,6,8 & 10
8th - 2,3,4,6 & 7
9th - A soft wager, Fast Hand (PP2). Ramos has been patiently waiting for another opportunity to score with Fast Hand. Fast hand loves the Turf sprint and is clearly the horse to beat. No other horse in the race has met tougher competition and Fast Hand gets entered for a tag because she's no longer eligible for the condition. Irwin Rosendo, Ramos' go to guy brings her home. Bikini Atoll (PP1) has done whatever she's been asked to do and I wouldn't be suprised if this 4yo filly upsets. I'm making a big fat exacta box with these two.
10th - 4,5

Good luck and good racing!

Johnny B.
