On Tuesday, in the first, my exacta box broke even when it paid $12.00. In the second, I had the exacta box for $18.80. In the seventh, my prime wager, First of May won and paid $5.40. So it goes...

On Wednesday:

1st - Pass - Exacta Box 1,6,10

2nd - Pass - Tri Key 2/6,10,11

3rd - A soft wager, Savannah's Wish (PP11). This 7yo gelding had a great year in 2007 and gave us a sign that he may be ready to get to the winners circle for the first time in the new year. Dueled in last at 7F, shortens up today to 6.5F. Juan Camilo brings him back in 10 days and he has a great record with the fastback. Switches back to Irwin Rosendo. A great value play this afternoon in a competitive race. I'll key him in the tri 11/1,2,8.

4th - A soft wager, Yeah Me (PP2). Yeah Me was second best first time over on 1/10. Tom Proctor wins 40% of the time with the L1-3 and Velez gets the ride again. Will be tough to beat, if ready.

5th - A prime wager, Bea Image (PP4). Has already won in ALW N1X and looks to come right back for Slomkowski in this Optional Claiming sprint. JC Ferrer rides. Clearly the horse to beat. I like the 4,5 exacta box.

6th - A soft wager, A Million Demons (PP10). Demons closed fast in his first for a tag 12 days ago and deserves another chance today for struggling Pamela Angevine. Best recent fig in the field. Piermarini rides. Nina's Gift (PP1) may wake up after losing the blinkers. I'll play 10 for the win and a 10/1/All tri box.

7th - Exacta box 2,8

8th - Tri box 1,3,6,12

9th - Exacta box 6,7,8

10th - A soft wager, Conchita (PP7). Conchita just missed first time over on 1/6 with an above par 71. Was the beaten favorite in that race. Velez gets another chance today for Patrick Byrne. I'll make an exacta key 7/8,10.
