On Sunday, in the first, Once More let the speedy Appealing Babe get away and nearly chased her down in deep stretch and had to settle for second. In the second, Princess Buckaroo never got to the lead and folded under pressure finishing out of the money. In the fourth, Golden Indy was well placed but came up empty. In the fifth DaMullett was there but had no kick. My sixth race exacta box won and paid $29.40. In the seventh, Casablanca Babe was second to Secret Lies, who made it three in a row today. In the tenth, Wee Bit Fancy was no match for Frontier Fanny or Queen Amira and finished third. A dismal day all around. So it goes...
This afternoon, the going is tough. In addition to the races being very competitive, you've got layoffs, stretchouts, FTS's and the like. Today is another good day to let the board do the talking.
1st - Exacta box 1,2,5
2nd - Exacta box 2,6
3rd - Exacta box 3,6
4th - Trifecta box 1,2,3,5
5th - Trifecta double key box 9,10/3,6,7 (Forest Fever switch to Centeno ???)
6th - Trifecta key box 8/2,5/1,4,3
7th - A prime wager, First of May (PP2). This 4yo colt "waited and was slowly gaining" in his last at 5F on 1/15. His performance was above par. Centeno is up again for Michael V. Simone. Unless I'm mistaken, this trainer/jockey combo has been clicking. I'll key the 2/3,7,8 in the trifecta.
8th - Exacta key 3/6,10
9th - Exacta box 7,9,11
10th - Trifecta key box 5,8/5,8/All
Good luck and good racing!
