Tampa Bay Downs Selections - 03/06/08

Results 43-149 (28%) -$13.00 (43-17-21) (54.3% ITM)

Johnny B. is going down to the Florida Keys for a few days of R&R, some Bonefishing and a general freshener. With 40 race days left, it's a good time for a breather. So selections for both Tuesday and Thursday are now available. Naturally, If I can get a wireless signal somewhere in paradise, I'll post Friday's selections, otherwise I return to civilization on Saturday and will post Saturday's selections in the morning.

**********************************************************************************
I'm here in Islamorada and I'm pirating my neighbor's signal.

**********************************************************************************
On Wednesday, I had the early double ($11.60) which included my first soft wager, Jammin' in the Sand who won and paid $5.80. My second race exacta key won and paid $38.00. My second soft wager, Line Euro won the fourth by 5 lengths and paid $6.60. My fifth race exacta box clicked for $18.40. My third soft wager, Tight Precision won by 8 lengths and paid $3.60. Three for three for a change. So it goes...

Selections for Thursday:

1st - DD 8/1,2,4 (Cohiba's Devil (PP8) has been knock, knock, knockin on heaven's door.)

2nd - Exacta key 2/1,4

3rd - Tri key 4/6/5,7,8

4th - Exacta box 2,6,7

5th - Exacta key 5/7,9,10

6th - Exacta box 1,5,3 (Onotheregoestokyo blew the roof off in last with a 113.)

7th - Exacta box 2,4,5

8th - Exacta box 2,7,11

9th - A soft wager, Candlelight (PP1). Simply the best in a lackluster bunch. Has been hunting for the right spot. Almost always above par. Clement and Centeno, a winning combination. Grandchild of Mr. Prospector is likely to love Tampa Bay Downs. Jp'shanna is in rare form and was handridden to victory in last. I'll bet Candlelight for the win and a exacta box 1,3 for the saver.

10th - A soft wager, Lotta TLC (PP10). The lengths that Carl Cooper will go to to diguise his horses form is a testament to the man's patience and the reason he can put over such bombs. Lotta TLC has been moving up and down in class and racing at different distances, all in the name of exercise. Today, he races at the class and distance he belongs and beats this rag-tag group of losers (and with a subpar 36). All he needs to do is get it on the nod at the finish as RoHo and Fearless Folly (PP1) continue to try to get out of the money and into the winner's circle. I'll bet Lotta TLC to win and a 1,10 exacta box for a saver.

See you again Friday or Saturday morning.

Good luck and good racing!

Johnny B!
