Results 48-162 (30%) -$5.00 (48-18-25) (56% ITM)
On Saturday, the tracks were off again. Hatta Fort scratched in the 4th. In the 10th, My Baby Baby prompted the pace and had nothing left (at $1.30-1) and settled for third. In the 11th, Fort Prado, the second choice in the wagering (who finished third), was silenced by Lookinforthesecret, who continues to be razor sharp and who did not have to duel with Blue Pepsi Lodge (who scratched). The other half of my exacta in the 11th, Prosico ran second. Translation: I let a $37.20 exacta go, by not saving with Lookinforthesecret on top. Somebody kick me. In the 12th, War Pass stopped at odds of 1-20. Somebody had to jump off a building after that catastrophe. For the second day in a row, my contenders only selections failed and once again, it was the chaulk that let me down. So it goes...
On Sunday, things are looking up.
1st and 2nd - DD 10/4
3rd - Tri key 5/2/1,9,10
4th - A soft wager, Optimistic (PP7). Last three were 59-66-74 with significant improvement in each race. Today's par is 73. Cibelli looks for a win in third off the claim. Great work at 4F last week. E'sacrafty Boy (PP4) is the only horse who ever raced at par at the distance (and that was last summer). A couple of questions? Can Optimistic stretch out? Why does Centeno jump off Optimistic to ride Apple Talk (PP9)? I don't have the answers but I like Optimistic.
5th - Exacta box 1,5,6
6th - Tri key 12/13,3/All
7th - Exacta box 5,6,8
8th - Exacta box 2,4,5
9th & 10th - DD 9/2,3,6
Good luck and good racing!
