Results 62-201 (30.8%) +$23.20 (62-27-26) (57.2% ITM)
On Tuesday, in the 6th, my prime wager, It's His Time won by 2 1/2 and paid $3.60. My 9th race prime selection, Miltos Express scratched (no surprise there). Among my contenders only selections, my 3rd race $4 exacta box returned $23.60. My 10th race $12 exacta box clicked for $81.20. So it goes...
I'll be at Tampa Bay Downs on April 27, 28 & 29 touting my 2008-2009 par times, and trainer profiles, as well as my handicapping classes for those who want to learn to make their own figs using the projection method. Stop by the grandstand and say hello or click on the email link in "my profile" to contact me if you're interested in any of these services.
On Wednesday, speed figures will be the predominant handicapping tool of choice.
1st - Exacta box 2/5,9 and DD 2/11 (Cooper X2)
2nd - Exacta box 11/1,7
3rd - Exacta box 6/5,7
4th - Exacta box 9/4,8 (Camilo, Cronk)
5th - Straight triples 3/9/4,10
6th - Exacta box 1,5 (Fontana)
7th - Exacta box 4,7
8th - A soft wager, Anglers Reef (PP5). Anglers Reef had three starts at 7F this season and was at or above par in all three. Shortens up to 6.5F today. Was beaten by Silver Peagus and Blind River Fox (who have dominated all season against the best in their class) in last. Has more $ in earnings at TBD than the rest of the field combined. A solid wager. Save with 1,2,7/5 exactas and 3,5/3,5/1,2,7 triples.
9th - Triples 1,7/1,7/2,3,8 and DD's 1,7/9
10th - A soft wager, Rue D'Argent (PP9). It's only April, but it looks like graduation day for this 4yo gelding. Has had three above par starts at the route on the grass and the best grass rider at the Downs returns to ride him yet again. Lost last by a nose on 3/30. Solid work on the 16th. Trainer Jane Cibelli is having a great season. It all adds up. Bet win and save with a 1/9 exacta and 2,4,9/2,4,9/1 triples.
Good luck and good racing!
