Results 57-191 (29.6%) +$11.00 (57-25-26) (56.6% ITM)
On Sunday, in the second, Agent Dansuer did not take to the off track and finished fourth, as the $1.50-1 favorite. Half of my selections scratched and racing was cancelled after the 8th due to the inclement weather. In the 4th, my $2 exacta wager returned $7.00 (Woo hoo!).
I'll be at Tampa Bay Downs on April 27, 28 & 29 touting my 2008-2009 par times, and trainer profiles, as well as my handicapping classes for those who want to learn to make their own figs using the projection method. Stop by the grandstand and say hello or leave a comment with your contact info on the blog if you're interested in any of these services.
On Tuesday, watch for a bias in the early races. Sunday's rains may have rearranged the furniture so to speak. Last week, it was the middle to outside on the dirt. Cut your wagers until you're comfortable you've got a handle it.
Selections for Tuesday:
1st and 2nd - DD 2,3,/11
3rd - Exacta box 10/2,4
4th - Exacta key 10/3,5,8
5th - Tri key 1/8/3,4,6
6th - Exacta box 3,5,7
7th - A soft wager, Unconditional (PP5). Unconditional was absolutely flying late in last, 10 ten days ago and takes a step up off that effort. Goes 6 1/2F today and welcomes the extra distance. Save with a 5/2,8 exacta box.
8th - Exacta box 1/4,10
9th - Exacta box 1,7,11
10th - Tri key 5,7/5,7/2,9
Tuesday results: Unconditional was up in time in the 7th, and paid $12.40, putting me back in the black ink once again.
Selections for Wednesday:
1st and 2nd - DD 2/11
3rd - A soft wager, Put Back the Gold (PP7). PBTG drops from the C5 N2Y to the C8 N2L condition, where an improvement of about 5 lengths can be expected. Races at his lowest level ever today. First time over the TBD surface was an above par 60 at 7F. Today's par is 56 @ 1 mile & 40 yds. Has posted several above par efforts at the route. Sheds 10 lbs. today (enough to improve any horses performance). Can winless Kifer bring him home first? I'm betting he can. Save with the 8/7 exacta.
4th - Tri key 7/9/1,4,5
5th - Tri key 5/7/1,2,3
6th - Tri key 10/6/2,3
7th - Tri key 2,7/2,7/1,4,9
8th - A soft wager, Fierce Advocate (PP9). My blog entry of 3/29 states "Horses to watch - Fierce Advocate was full of run entering the stretch and was boxed out with no where to go in the 2nd this afternoon. Be sure to have a wager on this one next time out." Ramos brings him back in 12 days and that's a good sign and goes up in class (where he has a 25% winners), another good sign. All systems are go! I'll bet Fierce Advocate (PP9) across the board and save with a 6,7/9 exacta.
9th - Pick three 7,9/1,8/2,11
10th - Tri key 1,8/1,8/5,9
11th - Tri key 2,11/2,11/3,9,10
Good luck and good racing!
Johnny B.
